@Simple,
That looks awesome. I like this MUCH more than the stepped nose 2012.

Does anybody know where to find a F104 GP lower chassis? All my f104's are the T-bar suspension style and not the newer link style, but I really want a chassis that has the built in side pods for electronics. The GP was the only kit with that chassis style I believe.

For me, the combo that worked best on asphalt >90 was ps 571 f and ride r1 premounted rear.

Carpet or asphalt? Also, how is your weight distributed? If you're running a shorty, where did you put it? I believe you need some weight on the front to make it steer.

Lastly, I was recently taught that increasing droop in the rear pod will give you more steering (I'm thinking off throttle, though). In the end, though, tires are everything, just like any other chassis.

I'm sure others here will have much more accurate recommendations

you'll have plenty of solution to get some front grip

- check that you still have some droop in the front king pin (about 0.5 -1 mm)
- use the softest springs for the front
- add some camber (2 for exemple)
- add some ackerman if you can (depending on your servo position)
- add caster if possible (but with the f104 standard , i dont think you can)
- use the shortest hole in the uprights
- put some shims under the rear ball of the central damper
- tighten the side links
- tighten the side damper.
- use harder spring on the side.

with that you have a lot to try

Check out F1 paintlab's web store. They where selling the WGP chassis along with the Vintage formula one bodies like a conversion. Maybe Brad will sell just the chassis plate by itself.

Default F1 platform

Hi All,

Sure this has been asked before but thought I would give it a go since I did not see anything posted. Looking at getting a F1 platform for fun and maybe some racing in So-Cal, not sure what platform to go with, any suggestions?

I am looking at:

3 Racing FGX with an eventual Exotek upgrade

3 Racing F113

Speed Passion

or Maybe the F1104 if it is really worth the extra money
