It's free, the track is beautiful, people are the best and you will find any type of onroad car you like being run from F1 to Minis and everything in between.
It's open only to Tamiya cars and nothing wrong with that since they are top of the line cars from pro to entry level kits.
You don't have to have a Tamiya car to check it out but if you do have or get one it's hard to beat the facility.
That's just one place to check out and it's only about 30 minutes north of Camp Pendelton.

If he's even thinking about an F1, well, a Tamiya on a Tamiya track with Tamiya drivers in So Cal? Nothing further Your Honor.
Hey Thanks F N Cuda I will pass it on to him, you have been a big help Thank you for taking the time to reply and pass on all the info.

I want to give a little update on my tests with the wing additions. One surprise was that the balance nearly remained unchanged. My thinking was that the big rear wing would dominate the behaviour of the car. Another surprise was the little influence on the overall track performance. It was hardly noticeable that I added the wings. The car drove as good as it did before. The laptimes lowered around 1-2 tenth on a 17 seconds lap. I achieved more (around 2-3 thenth) by changing the center shock spring from hard to soft.
After these changes I felt the car could have more power. I played with the power programs on my LRP Flow and ended up with high numbers in different modes. This got me another 5 tenth today and a lot of fun. The car is planted, has speed and acceleration; just like a F1 car should have. Today I drove a 15.98s lap (16.9s was my best before), many 16.0s and 16.1s laps. I never thought it would be possible to dial a F104v2 in like this! On our clubtrack you can feel very good that the front suspension is the low performance part of this car, still the car shows a very good behaviour.
What impressed most was how hard you can brake into the corner. I learned so much today how to throw a formula car into the corner, but in a smooth harmonious way, without the rear stepping out...I am still shocked in a positive way

Hi guys.

Just ordered me a WRC F-one 180, and I am very exited to try out the F1 class, but, it is new for me to race pan cars, so any tricks and tips would be much appriciated.

I'we ordered the torsion bar, side spring set, front spring set, carbid diff balls, and damper spring set, and I hope I get the tranversal damper also in package, i ordered it later.

I have ordered Ride rubber tyres, as we are going to race on carpet with rubber tyres.

Any good set up tips for low to medium grip tracks, just to have a start point, would be a great help.

Thanx

The Williams Fw18 wing is a Tamiya part. Long discontinued but there's still plenty of them about. Part number is 0555079.

Default CNBC at it again

Well CNBC did it again. I tune into CNBC for the live coverage of Formula 1 racing and I get infomercials. So while I wait, I am sending messages of displeasure to the Facebook sites of the infomercials. I tried to send an email to Rolex and Vodafone, but no luck.
