Looking good there.

LewHam's new helmet is a bit *meh* anyways.
Good thing that the F1 feed is in HD, it can get tricky differentiating the 2 Mercedes drivers as the helmet designs are close to each other.

Looking to get an F1 more or less as a shelf queen and drive in the neighborhood. What's a good scale looking chassis for the 2012-2013 style F1's? Been looking at the SP1 since it's seems the most reasonable. Keeping an eye on ebay for a used f104 as well.

Driving in the neighborhood will be less frustrating with FGX than f104 thanks to the rear independent suspension.

However, Tamiya makes the best bodies and they come with detailed decals. And tamiya cars fit tamiya bodies the best.

The W04 2013 style

This body is lower and 20g lighter than my lightened 2012 body. Also found a bettre color match!

I like the second one better. It could be the camera angles but it seems more natural.

I will be running my 2012 Sauber body for the first time tonight, and I wonder how it is going to feel. I am by no means an expert driver but I hope it will be "interesting" in the worst case and not "frustrating". I am taking my old body set with me jic.

Hi guys, I need advice. What rear foams do you reccomend? I found these Tamiya soft foams, I suppose these go on F103 wheels? Can F103 wheels be mounted on a TC by simply using a longer screw (older TC, where wheels are tightened by screw)? Is the hex same?

New world record set using Tamiya F104 v2

The Guinness World Records® record for the ‘Greatest distance by a Radio Controlled (RC) model car on one set of batteries’ was previously 23.726 km set in 2009 in France.

We are very pleased to report that the RC Formula1 record attempt car, driven by David Stevens, achieved 38.284 km. Beating the old record by 14.558 km or 61%!

Had some good success with my first try on Sweep tires today. Ran on a very low grip parking lot track. Used the medium compound all around (would have liked softer rears but only had medium). Didn't trim the tire or anything to soften the sidewall. The stiffer sidewalls are favorable in my opinion.

Have you ever done a 2009 Brawn GP decal set?

What inserts did you use and how did you mount them?

Raced with the f2012 body last night. The front wing tips dragged in turns. I even had the front ride height raised by 2mm and it wasn't enough. And because of raised front and dragging front wing, my lap times weren't so good. The handling was questionable at high speed straight also. But it looked fantastic in the Sauber paint.

For the main, I put the f60 front wing on and kept the rest of the f2012 body. It was much better. On the f2012, I will try filing the vertical stems that come down from the nose, where the spoiler screws on, to make more ground clearance.
