It would be nice to have something that looks more like 1960s.

Scroll back several pages and you will see how aarcobra has developed a way to mount the HPI vintage wheels/tires to the F104 chassis for the VF1 car, as lightfoot mentioned. There are several pictures posted as well. The HPI vintage wheels/tires look the closest to the 60's F1 wheels/tires. That is the route I'm going to go!

Good day to all!

Just a quick Q. Do you guys happen to know the right tamiya paint code if I'll do the Williams F1 team livery? Thanks in advance. Cheers!

I think this body matches the Williams F1 team than that of the Lotus'.

Nice one! The Jordan 191 is my all-time favourite F1, and I have 2 of the original Tamiya kits...one for racing and one for the shelf.

Recently I saw on ebay a company in Hong Kong (I think) offering the J191 bodyshell (amongst other 90's F1 cars)...so if you wanted an exact replica in the future it's an option for you...your McClordan looks fantastic though!

yep i purchased one of those body shells from hong kong last month, and the quality wasnt very good, it had lots of flaws which was disapointing. I still may paint it up to see how it looks.

I also have a new original F101 Jordan front wing, but i dont think ill race with it

Very good idea, PS Dark Blue (89925) looks not too bad, maybe not dark enough. And I just saw the PaintLab decals for this one, great !

Hi Guys

I would like to make a 2011 Lotus-Renault R31.

What body would be the best to use?

Thanks,
Peter

Greetings!

Try this body from ebay. That's the closest thing I've seen to match the Lotus' 2013 body.

Here is the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-10-2012-F1...item20d08a3db8

Cheers!

Thanks guys.

The rear wing on the Ferrari seems a bit off, but if that's the closest there is, it'll have to do. Decals from paintlab is already planned :-)

But I might reconsider and make a 2013 version, if I can get decent decals somewhere.....

Cheers,
Peter
