Yes, but it's lighter than the plastic head, so the car will be less likely to traction roll! ;-)

Hey fellas hoping you can help me with a parts question.

I have an F104 with an exotek f1r chassis and I'm looking to find a replacement side spring mount set. There are two little plastic nuts that are holding the springs but... they cracked on install. They are still holding the springs and may be fine but because of the crack I'm a bit nervous the springs will fall off during race conditions. They are attached to the side links. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I put the RC America side spring kit on mine. Put them on my x12 and was impressed enough to put them on my F1R too. It has a 6-32 screw and metal spring connector. You have to drill and/or tap to prevent splitting of the carbon with this larger screw.

Hey Guys, im trying to build a Jordan EJ10 Body for my F103. What kind of Body do you think suits the EJ10 best? I was thinking of a L-Type Tamiya one since its the only one i know which has a high nose and is going in the right direction.

suggestions?

I agree - the L-Type is your best bet for an F103. The EJ10 (IMO) would be a better fit on an F201 - specifically the Williams FW24 body and wing set.

So I got a TQ raceway new letter and I saw the new TOP Racing Rebel F1, I was very surprised with the design but the price at 299 dollars made me sit back and go WOW. Anyone own one and is interested in it? If so I wonder how it will be

The front suspension may exclude it from some race series in The States.

With that, a TOP factory guy runs it here and is one of the fastest guys in China. I may trade my F104v2 for a Serpent or this Rebel.

Its a good car but nothing really sets it apart as being any better than anything else out there except for the 1/10th pan car tires. Swap the front end out for a F104 front and put F1 tires on it and it is no better than anything else out there.

Okay, so you out the tamiya front end on it. But I was still shocked on the price, but if its just about average in comparison to the other chassis with the tamiya front end, it almost seems like a waste of money.

Yup...you might as well get the F104V2 for a rubber tire 180mm class. The only car in 180mm that is really different than the F104v2 would be the TRG car. A while ago I saw pics of a 180mm version of the Serpent car which looked nice but can't find them any more so I'm not sure that will even get produced.

I have a top rebel, and it does not use pan car tires. The rear axle is set up for tamiya tires, though it is basically a 1/4" pan car axle. The axle is adjusted by shims, so it is basically infinitely adjustable. Not a big deal on rubber, but it is helpful for some tall tires (pardus). It is true you need to get a Tamiya 104 front end to be legal in the US in most places.

Also, the rear links are further in on the chassis and have a slight angle toward the centerline of the car, similar to , but not as radically angled as the new CRC 1/12 car. IT's very light as well. I tend to think it steers a little more than the 104v2.

I also have Tamiya Agrios (TXT-2). Its RC truck. It had been recently crahed but did't get damage because it is good enough. You can learn using this RC truck..
