F1r is great! Got one a couple weeks ago with texastc and every time I drive it I like it better. We don't have any width restrictions in Dallas and I also have a f1ultra but I still dig the f1r. Really like how adjustable the standard f104 front end is. I can actually raise ride height wich is important on our carpet. It's glued directly to the concrete floor so its fairly bumpy. Another big plus is the larger and way stronger bearings used in f104 wheels. This along with everything I like about the ultra turns the f1r into my favorite f1 car, currently I have 5 functional! Definitely something wrong with me!

Nothing wrong with you Robert. I'm already searching for my third. Ran my V2 today and it was pretty good. Fast lap was an 11.4 so I am right there with you guys. Consistent 12.0 and lower. This car is really good. Just need some more track time.

Sometimes I qualify and race with one car while I practice with the others between rounds. Or, I pick two cars and alternate them between the qualifiers and use the best in the main.

I ran two different cars for each of two qualifiers last time. Now I have three cars and one will have to sit out..
I am thinking maybe I will make a rotation schedule and leave one car at home and take just two cars to the race.

Just wanted to say that I received my Renault R25 decals from Brad at F1Paintlabs. They look great. I'm hoping to have pics up in the next couple of weeks. He says that he has more graphics in the works in differing states of completion. I look forward to seeing more. Nice to have choices than Ferrari and McLaren.

Complete decal sheet including the white front and rear spoilers for Ferrari 2012 would be nice. But tamiya is releasing that body in feb.

I had to take the associated damper out of the F1R. No matter how hard I tried to get the cap on straight at the last second it would tilt when just about fully threaded. Those caps just don't fit right. I replaced it with what i had on hand, a CRC damper tube I had on my pan F1. I had to shorten the tube with a pipe cutter, but it fits right and doesn't bind after a couple of fitment tweaks. It also gives me something to tune that I'm more familiar with.

A couple of pics of the new F104 Pro. Kit body with decals from F1 Paintlab via TQ Racing.
