You should be able to fit an HPI Vintage wheel and tire set on an f1 car equipped with the F103GT front end assembly and rear hubs. AFAIK those parts will fit on an f104. I haven't done this with the wheels yet so I can't be 100% sure but I do know that with a shorty pack and relatively small electronics (like a tekin RS) you can fit all your components on the main chassis and dispense with the two electronics mounting plates. You'll have a chassis narrow enough to fit a 60's style f1 car.

Before I post this all over Rctech to sell I'm givin someone here the opportunity first to purchase. I have a ready to run, bind and drive f1r. Will cme with the exotek f1r chassis, te stock f104 pro chassis, a new lotus Renault painted/stickered body, tekin RS, sonic 21.5, pit shimizu rubber, stock tamiya rubber, stock foam tires, all mounted on wheels, servo, carbon front wing brace, etc. can text pics. Make reasonable offers, I'm thinking in the ballpark of $450-$500ish, shipped.

Scott,
I'll try to get in touch with a guy in GA who has one. I'm pretty sure Brad (F1Painter) sold them. I think they kinda died when the Exotek beefed up front end came out...

@F1Junky, thanks but I'm aware of those. I am looking for the chassis that uses Tamiya front suspension with the FGX rear.
@aarcobra, thanks. I'll contact F1Paintlab, but I expect I'm going to be left looking for something used. I appreciate your contacting your friend in Georgia.

The only thing I could remember is to true down the tires in the 53-54mm region.

Thanks for the help!

I like the old style too. I can remember building models of them as a kid. (Wonder what ever happened to those models? Mom!)

Found these the other day. F1 of the future? Takes aerodynamics to a whole new level huh? Tires wouldn't matter as much for sure! Ha!

Both will work with the IFS. The Rabbit was F104 front end, FGX rear end. It had a special lower plate.
