It looks pretty close, but the E20 has a bit more yellow than a metallic hue. The front winglets and rear wing mounts were painted with PS-2. For F1 plastic wings - take a look @ X-7 or maybe TS49.
Nice work! I was thinking for the top of the air box. Looks like you have it covered with the decal stripes.

You can get a gloss finish with them by thinning them right and spraying them very fine but they really were not designed for that.
I know the PS paint is a flat finish, I was referring to the TS Acrylic paint. I had used extra fine sandpaper on my mini's mirrors and the gloss paint came off as semi-gloss due to the sanding.

Went to the Testor's site and found this: http://www.testors.com/products/137494 , CSX Tan. Looks like a fairly close match to the stickers.

Default Sauber C31

Sharing a few pics of my newly finished Sauber C31 with decals from F1 Paintlab. It's a race car rather than a shelf queen, so it's on race tires for now, and the helmet is also unpainted since it came off an old body. Gotta find the right mirrors and barge boards as well.

Hopefully i'll have a chance to finish those details soon.

I decided to go with the pontoons looks pretty cool. Had the mirrors on in just black, but decided to try and paint them. I will probably run the car without them until I can get them to look right.

Thanks.
Get some light gray primer from an auto parts store. Sand the pieces with some 400-800 grit paper then prime them. Spray white for your base then the body color. You will probably want to get some type of clear coat too. If you do clear, spray about 2 light coats and 3 medium coats. If the finish is wrinkled wet sand very lightly with 2000 grit and polish smooth.

I have that page bookmarked on my computer.
Unfortunately they don't show any pics of Tyree's car with the body on it. You can tell that it is the Ferrari F60 by checking the wings.

Hopefully, someone, somewhere has a pic of that car with the body on it.

Thanks!

Haha, good question. I haven't decided yet. Both helmets are damn hard to paint! I'm leaning towards Perez since it seems a bit easier.

Overall, i think it came out ok, but waiting for the new Tamiya F2012 body would have been smarter for a good C31 replica. Brad at F1paintlab did a great job with the decals, but I would have appreciated if the reds were a little bit deeper and more details were included on the decal sheet (i.e. helmet designs, steering wheel controls, etc).

Yeah, definitely good advice. There are lots of good techniques like brad and everyone else has mentioned (washing, sanding, clearcoat) to finish off the plastics such as the wings and mirrors. Vinyl adhesive wrap is also an alternative.

Ultimately though, its important to note if it's a race model, the finish is going to eventually come off. Especially if you do a lot of crashing like i do, even the best finishes aren't permanent.

Thanks for posting that pic of the TRG car with the F60 body!
From what little I can see, it appears that the suspension mounting points are within the nose section of the body...barely.

I've been asked to race on carpet with a F103, 17.5, lipo shorty, foam class.

My last experience with F103 and carpet was.... in the last century.

Can someone give me a hint for the setup?

The only thing I could remember is to true down the tires in the 53-54mm region.

Thanks for the help!
