Hi, what I do. Hope it helps.

1. Drive V shaped instead of U. Dive deep into corner, brake hard, then power out. In a letter V. The out in out style with speed (letter U) will be prone to traction roll.

2. Or lessen overall grip, by changing traction compound or amount used?

3. Glue the top portion of the sidewall. The part that catches the carpet then causes traction roll. I always do this even for asphalt, just as a precaution so I never worry about traction roll.

I'm afraid to admit I don't know in any detail. Don't take this as definitive, but first place was an F103 variant with aftermarket parts/conversions. Second place was an Exotek FGX conversion and third was a link-style car. 4th place was a largely standard F104X1 (I think).

The race largely showed that people who can setup and drive will do well. 2nd place was TQ and probably quickest on the night, but had a relatively expensive pit stop and finished 4.2 seconds behind after 20 minutes of racing.

Thanks - I had a lot of fun on the evening and there were plenty of laughs all round. The whole event was designed to for a bit of fun - we ran just two classes on the night, so our regular TC mod guys mixed it with stock dudes and aspirational 21.5 blinky drivers in boosted 17.5 TC. The F1 challenge attracted a nice field and most of the B main is there in YouTube as well.

My F1R is on a slow journey to make it race worthy...

Great pics and one awesome video. I like the added touch of the safety car.

Our local club race last weekend. Lots of traction rolls.

Just picked up an F109, but it needs a new body. What bodies will fit this chassis? I'd love to find a McLaren MP-24, 25, 26, or 27 body and wing set.

It's basically a F103 copy so most bodies that suit 103's should fit... plus I am sure some more modern bodies will fit as the chassis is narrower due to battery placement
