I was wondering if any one has an interest in an original HPI Super F1 car. I have all of the original parts, wings, springs, etc. I also have a CRC link conversion for it from "back in the day". It's still in the basement, but I am pretty sure that it has a spare graphite chassis and come other stuff. If you're interested, PM me. I will dig it out and send pics.

I remember the CRC link conversion, I think they also made one for the F103. What's old is new!

Here's an interesting body I found on ebay. It's pretty cool except that it doesn't come with a rear wing. I wonder how much more retro we can get?

Getting there. Unfortunately, it's a slow time of year for F1. Common people, let's see some fresh pics of those rides

Let's talk about pardus tires on carpet. We are using them as a control spec tire this year. Anyone got any tricks they are willing to share ? We are fighting traction rolls so far with them. I know gluing the sidewall is a option but I'm really wanting to solve the puzzle without gluing.

That`s like shaving with an exacto knife...
You can do it but why?

So, took my lotus-Renault exotek f1r on its maiden voyage last night on our high traction Ozite carpet last night. Dual rate was turned way down, turned it back up to 63% but it still pushes hard unless you slow way down. Gearing is stock f104 pro, 2.0* front camber (may change to 1.5), gold associated side springs, 30wt in the side damper shock, 30 in the main shock, white spring, tamiya 54198/199 tires, which are the spec tire for our upcoming 1st race apparently (f1 isn't a class in MN). Ideas? I could keep turning dual rate up but I fear a traction roll, especially on a longer track..
