I just got as installed the lipo conversion on my f104 pro, as well as some shimizu tires. Soft t bar and a faster servo. Indoor carpet with good grip, super smooth. Hopefully it will drive pretty well. I've been looking into those exotek chassis conversion kits but at the moment there really isn't even a class to race f1 in Mn.

just keep taking your F1 up there and run, the more people see it, the more people will buy into it.

Totally agree. We started a class with 6 cars for our inaugural season, and ended up with 10 cars by the end. Have already heard that we will have another 3-4 by the beginning of the next season. I think that part of the draw of F1 is the seemingly more scale realism, in both looks and racing. It's a different feel over the other classes, but is easily my favorite class to drive at the moment.
I know that it's personal, but if you feel comfortable and trust them, let them take a few laps with your car. Gotta give them the bug, lol. Good luck!

An Exotek F1R is a BLAST to drive. My F1R has really good corner speed, is stable on the straights with the right balance between steering response and a stable rear end. It's a terror on foams. No issues handling a 13.5T motor on LiPo (blinky ESC).

+1. My bro-in-law was a touring car fan; until I had tried my F104X1. Now he's hooked. Compared to TC - the ease of maintenance, less moving parts, increase in runtime are the positives.

Yep after a few runs with my F1RW it now drives like a touring car, it has that much turn in and rear grip, i am very happy with my purchase. Running in wide F103 mode it is also slightly longer in the wheelbase which gives it a little extra stability.

I'm glad Yokomo is in, it just shows how healthy the F1 market is.

Cross had a link car back in the early F103 days. I think Kyosho might have too but not so sure on that.
