Hello, my daughter and I practiced one-on-one last Saturday. Hers is an F103, mine F104.

Just sharing.

I wonder where the t bar and the wings on the front of the nose came from? Good looking body.

Yeah, I seem to remember that all the JPS Lotus cars from 1978-1986 used more of a cream or tan color than actual gold. I saw many of them up close and personal. The Lotus 79, 81, 85, 86 models. They were beautiful cars, especially the Lotus 79(Andrettis' championship car)

Here is something that some of you might find interesting: I went to Watkins Glen in 1978 for the USGP, Mario was on the pole in the Lotus 79, and the night before the race ALL of the cars were stored in a large tent that the public could enter, free of charge and all that separated you from each car was a rope. You could walk right up to them!! My friend held the camera, and when no one was looking I climbed over the rope and stood right next to Marios Lotus for a pic!! Boy how times have changed; you would never get that close today!! Also, after the race, one of the Arrows cars needed a push to get it back to the paddock, and the mechanics let us help push the car with them!! Those were the days!!

Does anyone have a copy of the instructions for the tamiya mp4/5B body. I have the body with rear wing, the front wing, and the wing mout, but the rear wing does not seem to have the side pieces (unless I am missing something). Are the rear wing side pieces in with the body or is there a separate part number for them. Ay help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Larry

Nice that Kyosho is getting back into f1...but I'd take a F104 V2 over that any day.

This is a F103 type car (200 mm foams/rubbers), any bodyshell for F103 will fit.

The end plates are separate, part number 9804458. Although it's just as easy to cut them out of some scrap lexan. They look like this link.

Thumbs up

That Redbull car is very impressive. Whoever did it did an excellent job with the details. Iíd have to say that a homerun! GREAT WORK!

The only thing I have a problem with is the lexan body being sold on Ebay isnít the same as that Redbull body. Am I missing something hereÖ.one of these things aint like the other.

On our track...Given that Ronnie's F10 ran really good with HPI rubber tires I think a direct drive is eventually going to be better than our FGXs...but the FGX is easier to drive right now. F1 isn't going to be anywhere near as planted as 1/12th was when you tried that on Sunday though. I'd say if your more interested in looks than handling go F1, if your more interested in handling than looks go with 1/12th. Given your reaction when you ran the different cars...I think you will probably enjoy 1/12th more.

The Kyosho car looks a lot like 3racing stuff on it. The front/rear wing look a lot like the new ones just released.
