I think I read - either in the TCS thread or the F104 thread - that the packaging even says something being pits...it wouldn't be the first time Tamiya licesnsed another manufacturer to make something they didn't have or didn't perform up to par (Spec-R gear diff for the 416x)
Pit 71/72's or 75/77's? We ran the 75/55's indoor all last year and they seemed fine and lasted while. I think most used 2 sets all year.

Nick,
We ran 575/577 in Toledo
I mounted up a 571/572 combo and ran them at MSI , although I hear that the 571/575 combination gives great grip and balance on carpet.
Lon and Ted have been testing the Pardus tires down there, and we ran them at the ROAR regional as the spec tire at the Gate. With them costing $25 for a set of 4 rims, tires, inserts they are a good cost effective alternative to the PITS

BP Shadow, which top plate are you using on those F104 builds?

I would like to add that the "Track Ready" packages you have up on your site are actually a good value considering that you would get such a nicely detailed body, and there is actually quite a bit of build time involved with building/detailing these cars.

This particular chassis has the RSector top deck, but as with all my builds, the customer can spec any components they want. My services are fully build to order, any budget, any skill level, and thank you for recognizing the value of our products.

It looks like we use the same tactics...

BTW I'm sharing picture of my wide F104 car I'm building for our large outdoor track. I have recycled a few F104Pro parts, with wide front axle and Xceed F103 foams ...and there will be Ferrari 643 body - very simple car.
Nice car!!, Tell me how it works with those F103 Xceed foams!!

Ordered my Xceed's from RC Mushroom. Took a week with expedited shipping. Couldn't find a US vendor. If you do, let me know.

very impressive. That make me want to go back and give my drivers more detail. I over look everything but the helmet. But your attention to detail really impresses.

I do have the TRG front uprights, plastic spacer was in package with uprights and I have 4 Tamiya F104 spacers available. With TRG plastic spacer and one Tamiya silver spacer it looks OK but I will test it next weekend on the track.

I need to finish the car first but references from the fellow racers are good. There should be less tirewear than Tamiya F104 foams...hope I will know more in a week.

I will test my F103 Rapide tomorrow with Xceeds. Which compounds do you have? Someone tell me Xceed fronts make the car to oversteer, don´t know personally have to test this.
