Are you talking about this?

Is not a TOP REBEL F1 clon? It seems same car but orange color metallic parts instead of red.

I've seen that picture too, but given the pictures taken on the Nurnberg show I think your picture is one of an earlier prototype.

More pics here

I thinks it´s just the opposite. The photo I have posted (no more than one month) is newer than the old Nuremberg Toy Fair one (February) and that one is just an "ordinary" but link system F103 restyled.

I know the picture surfaced fairly recently, but do we know when it was actually taken?

It would mean they regressed from a dedicated F1-like front end to a S100 front end. Also, the white plastic for the servo mount can be due to rapid prototyping. The front spoiler doesn't strike me as particularly likely, either. The Serpent promo material (also early 2012) shows the narrow front as well, and rumours of the car circulated from early 2011. None of this is conclusive, obviously, but the Nurnberg car looks more like a finished product that the other one does.

Well if that is it...I'm glad they listened to the F1 enthusiasts and made a F1 type front end instead of the other one. All though...200mm isn't legal everywhere.

F1 "pure" front end and "realistic" as you say 180 mm rubbers +21.5 maybe good for small tracks and parking lots or indoor as you do in America but pancar type front +200 mm foams is the way to go in our European bigger outdoor nitro tracks with faster brushless motors.

Of course, they could easily make a 180mm conversion for the 'narrow front' F110. Just shorter front arms, the rear end would be 180mm with just the F104 wheels, I think?

It's not for me either. I'm quite happy with my 205mm Corally . I was just stating that if Serpent wanted to take a piece of that market too (which includes the rather popular ETS series in Europe, which has the (over here rather odd) 180mm F1 class), they could do so with very little effort.

Does anyone have a copy of the McLaren F104 MP4-24 body manual?
I bought a rear wing by itself and it has 4 round parts I can't figure the use for

Those pieces are for mounting the airfoils at the front of the sidepods

I'm sure you could run bigger motors and rubber tires out there as well...afterall the TCs do. But after running rubber tires since the Tamiya capped rubbers first came out...I really prefer the handling of foam tires too. I just wish there was a way to keep them more scale looking like the rubber tires.

F104 and rubber tires with more than a 13.5T motor is practically undrivable , at least for me.
