My wife's cousin's friend knows this guy in Canada that travels to Germany, his friends sister-in-law's daughter goes to Japan and knows this guy at a noodle shop that had a couple. Now he only has three.

If I was looking at a Tamiya F1 , which one would you guys recommend for low grip ashphalt on foam tyres?..should I get the F104GP wide edition or wait for the new F104V2?...like the idea of the GP as comes with body and wings and also my F109 foams would fit straight on and cheaper to buy or will the F104V2 be that much better and worth waiting for?
Cheers.

I like the V2 , but the cheapest is to get the F103
it will work out of the box.
I have a friend he bought one of the F103... built it from the box and he's been on top of the podium twice this season already....
we are running outdoors asphalt foams and 13.5T motors

other cars in our race, F109, Exotek F1R, F104 and a FGX

Surprisingly on low grip asphalt the rubber tires typically work better than foams...but either way the car is going to be a handful...especially if you get the wrong compound.

So, I've looked through some of this thread, but wanted to get some updated opinions. I'm going to be buying a used f1 car (probably two). I have a couple f103's and a hpi formula 10 to choose from. F103 are $100 and the Formula 10 is $95.
Thoughts?

Parts and tires are easy on the F103. A lot of F104 stuff will fit as well. In fact you could probably make a pretty cool 180mm car if you can find an Indy car F103 for the longer wheelbase.

The formula tens seem good as well, but the Exotek chassis seems to really wake the F10 cars up.

Can anybody suggest a brushed esc? I had hpi drift aster 17.5t and it worked pretty good on my f104x1.
What would be suitable with this motor? What should I consider when choosing one?

If I was to get the F1R conversion for F104 or the ultra for the F103 do the modern or the old bodies fit perfectly? I mounted 1x(f60 and McLaren) onto my F109 and I had to cut out the back of it and is it the same with the exotek conversions as dont want this again.
also do they make older style bodies(tamiya) for the F104? like they do for the F103S...

Exotek does wake !wake the car up a lot.
I am selling mine because i can get 3racing parts all day long with out ordering.

I like the simplicity of the HPI more...
But the FGX is more fun to play with =)

Did you hear Ferris passed out at 31 Flavors last night? I guess it's pretty serious.
