LOL - yes I do Terry. I had a saddle pack version to race at a local 12th club back in the day

I have seen spring steel t-bars are still available for GT and oval cars too

Hi i used the f104 pro kit standard body with the option sidepods and 3 racing wings though the rear one i've lowered about 12mm for a more scale look.

How did you lower the rear wing? I have the same set and would like to get the rear wing a little lower. How does the wing set hold up durability wise, feels a little delicate to me. where did you get the gold wheel nuts?

To lower the wing i've just re drilled the lower mounting holes and then trimmed the bottom right hand end plate so it clears the spur gear (it also moves it forward slightly).
as for durability i've only raced it once since building it and i had no probs, the 3racing wings do seem to flex alot more than tamiya though. The gold wheel nuts are off ebay.

The rear wing holds up well, and is pretty flexible. I found cutting some foam out to fill in the underneath of the wing support helps. Held in with tape it cut back any wing wobbling no end

I filled my F109 rear wing (same issue) with a hard curing silicone stuff we use at work.

Here are some YouTube videos of F1 races at Mike's Hobby Shop from last Saturday. Everybody was racing with solid rear axles. Two cars had foam tires, the rest had rubber tires.

Heads up. FGX is legal at US carpet Nats. Just that race. Back to illegal after that. Still must meet 190mm spec.

Hey guys...just got my gear adapter for my F104 so I can put my 21.5 motor in. What would be a good starting gear ratio running Pit Shimizu tires on a track about 120' by 50'.

Nice videos! The Corally driver by far has the quickest car in the main, just more errors. Is that Racer Robert winning in with the Sauber paint scheme? Still great to see so much action! I'm envious.

That's me running my f103.5 for the first time. Tq'd and won!. The force India car that got second is my Fgx that I loaned to a fellow racer. So I win driver points and constructor points!
