Current F1 cars do not use a floating pod. They either use a T-Plate or a mono-ball 2 link rear suspension.

As for the Kyosho...if that is the one from years back that I kinda remember...it wasn't a very good rear end as it used some really small/short shocks that would be difficult to put a good quality shock on.

This conversation disapeared, but the Kyosho also had a gear box like the 3Racing car that is coming out. The Kyosho Impress wasn`t bad. There a T bar and link version. Most of the parts for the link version ended up on the Cross F1 chassis.

Default F104W

Anyone running a F104W? I recently bought one. I was little disappointed with some of the parts. Didn't come with true turnbuckles, and despite what the description of car said, it did NOT come with a full set of ball bearings. The diff has cheap bushings instead of bearings and the front wheels use overgrown washers. You have to lube up the axles to use them. Very disappointing. I heard that the wide stance makes it handle better than the narrow PRO models. So, I'm slowly turning it into a F104W "PRO". After driving though, I have to say that I really like it.

The Impress was a pretty nice but not an independent rear like what they were referencing earlier.

I am buying rubber tires to run on carpet and need some help. I am totally new to the F1 stuff so please bear with me. I was looking at Shimizu PS-0571 and 0572 rubber tires. It says those fit wheels that are for foam tires though. Is this correct?

The body is 4000 yen.
I know parts from America are expensive here in Japan, but its only two L4 front ends and a carbon plate. You would have to be really lazy to buy one of these kits at around $500.00.
