Are they any good?

Hmm sensorless in a 2wd pan car? I wouldn't do it even if the motor was free!

Made some of my own with mixed results, they just aren't soft enough with the quality of current rubber tires compounds which are just so so compared to say a Sorex sedan tire.
Molded inserts would have to be pretty soft...

You can use the Tamiya Ferrari, and Mclaren bodys, but you'll have to use the front wing from those bodys as well. They are not a direct fit to the f10, but can be easily adapted.

Don't forget about micro battery back to fit narrow F104 body.

For 2010/11 car look you should purchase Renault R29 front and rear wing set (parts #104202 and #104203). This is my Fx10 with this wings, but i use standart HPI body.

Those HPI's look SOO much better with the Renault wing! HPI should just do a running change and include these with the kits to help sales!

Bought one on ebay for special low price ... bad choice :-(

Not suitable for racing! Only for training or fun. Cogging on start sequence costs you 1 or 2 sec delay.

Speed Passion 17.5 Cirtix combo is what I run in my F109 and it's very nice to drive.
As mentioned - sensored system is basically a must for a car. Delay in starting up is annoying.

I bought 1 intellect 1800mah 30c 7.2 mini lipo. All i have to do now is find out which body i want. So i'm assuming Tamiya's wing sets dont fit .. thats terrible.

Also being from Australia, where can i get that wing set as HPI america dont seem to sell them and HPI europe is the only place i can find them. However they are way over priced.

Cheers guys.

It works OK. There's a bit of cogging (as others have stated) - I tried both a Castle Sidewinder and a HobbyWing 60A. It was better with the HobbyWing. It might be better with a SpeedPassion ESC with a matching firmware. Once it gets going, it's pretty good. It does not get excessively hot, run time is good, and has good speed. If the track is not prepped or you have rear traction challenges, it can be a handful to drive. The endbell cap was a tight fit in my F104W's pod (aluminum mount pod).

I hope everyone who can get will get to Al's Hobbies this weekend for the Asphalt Assault. Be good to see lots of F1 cars there

Going to be trying a softer spring this time... see if get get a little better rear. I was actually grip rolling last race! ...very unerving!

The Tamiya soft rears and Medium (kit) fronts worked much better with harder inserts I found. If I can rid the car of the grip rolling I think I'll have more confidence. Steering seams better with the servo layed down and studs shimmed to rid bump steer.

Hope to see all there this weekend.

Is that F104 width or F103 width? Who carries it?

Nothing bad about that.

So you speak or at least read japanese? Might have to add you to a friends list in hopes that I can afford one of those 111's.

Thumbs up

i have a good family member that does...and im willing to help and will soon be getting some choice parts made for the car...the reason im having a few parts made for it is because the pain and agony of waiting a month for parts...their are really only two things that break on the car and its rare if they do....so having some nice aluminum spares will help...
