I'm hoping privy much all the X1 parts will fit our F104's anyway. . . . They had better if they have discontinued the Pro!! I've only had one race with it!

I'm wondering if they have another F1 design in the pipeline seeing how the X1is only a limited run and they have discontinued the other cars? Maybe it's time for the F105??

Chicago area ...... who can get out n race F1 on the weekend of the 17 th and 18th?
Looks as though I can't make BAL Hobbies on the 10th. :-(

Found this by accident. Looks like F104 chassis with F109 bodyshell to me.

chances are, knowing the chinese, its a Tamiya 104 clone. They do it all the time, esp with helis. Might be good, might be inferior. But will probably be half of a tamiya. My guess..

It has an alloy "T" bar,so you know very little thinking went in to the car.Basically a F104 copy with all of the chassis plates including the "T" bar, friction damper plate, main chassis and upper deck in alloy. Hit the wall once and the whole chassis would be permentlly tweaked.

Well I didn't expect anything revolutionary. At first sight it really looked like F104 copy it was just hard to guess what's under shell. Hearing that it has all decks out of alloy makes me smile

I saw this car on our local track. Owner says that car arrived with FRP T-Bar.
Top and bottom decks are all metal

Well i guess that to be expected as the website for these has different parts pictured in every other photo.

So the next question is how did it run?

It's the SY Racing F100.
http://www.sy-racing.com/a/en/produc...0/0923/78.html

Contrary to the pictures on the website it does come with a fibreglass T-piece and it is a direct clone of the F104 with all the parts interchangeable.

When stickered up properly it doesn't look like the cheap toy it does with the kit stickers.

This one is owned by a friend of mine, and it has been compared alongside an F104 so we know they are identical. Not surprisingly, as it's basically an F104 with aluminium replacing the carbon, it runs just like an F104 Pro with a load of lead weights stuck around the chassis.

I finally finished my HPI fx10 with the exotech.. I tried to use the kit tyres and it was terrible... to point where i hated driving it and almost sold it off.. So i thought let me try some different tyres.

Bought some Shimuzu tyres... OH MY GOD. the acceleration and grip in corners is insane. Im using a Tekin RS with the Redline 21.5t combo and its perfectly suited the car

No weights just the alloy upgrades and using teh standard steel rear axle and its perfectly planted.

As for body i dont have on there atm. and i want to get teh f104 body on there. does any1 know what front wing and rear wing kit works? iw ould love to make it look like a 2010/11 Macca.

until then onto my new project.. F104

With optional S and M are excellent too.

Don't forget about micro battery back to fit narrow F104 body.

For 2010/11 car look you should purchase Renault R29 front and rear wing set (parts #104202 and #104203). This is my Fx10 with this wings, but i use standart HPI body.

I agree with dimka, use the Renault front and rear wings. As far as bodys, I run the STANDARD f104 pro body on my f10, and it fits fine as long as your running the mini lipos. I also run the Renault front and rear wings.

You can use the Tamiya Ferrari, and Mclaren bodys, but you'll have to use the front wing from those bodys as well. They are not a direct fit to the f10, but can be easily adapted.

Default Shimizu tires

Molded insert is better than foam insert on any days. Can we find F1 molded inserts, I recall Pit Shimizu made it in the past.
