I made a Lexan 1977 shell for my "CFchassis" 6 wheeler project back in the early 90's. I painted it Yellow and White......just to be different from the traditional Blue and White. I'll post it here soon as I promised some good old friends in some earlier posts in this thread.

I read somewhere that Porsche's earlier F1 cars "handled like a Volkswagen Beetle" in the words of Dan Gurney, though he did drive this particular model to a few respectable finishes, most notably one championship race win in 1962. Being designed by the same man who penned the Beetle, that is probably not far off. Then Porsche got into sports car racing and the rest was literally history.

I also recall a wining chassis in the 70's Can-Am series?
Or not?

This is the highlight of Porsche's effort. They assisted McLaren in producing the Tag Turbo and won nearly every race in '84 and driver's world championships for 3 years straight....

They weren't successful in the early 90's with an engine for the FootWork Arrows.

"The 917/30 was the most powerful sports car racer ever built and raced. The 5.374 litre 12 cylinder (90.0 x 70.4 mm) twin-turbocharged engine could produce 1,580 bhp (1,180 kW) in qualifying tune, with twin turbochargers run up to full boost, a simply astonishing 39 psi (2.7 bar), though it usually raced with around 1,100 bhp (820 kW) at 7,800 rpm to preserve the engine. Whilst weighing only in at 1800 lb (816 kg), giving it a power to weight of 1967.36 bhp/tonne in qualifying tune and 1369.68 bhp/tonne in race tune. The 917/30 dominated the Can-Am series during the 1973 season. "

Touché. That would be the aforementioned sports-car racing that made history. For some reason, the 60s F1 cars based on their sports-cars did not do well, when their 70s sports-cars and Can-Am racers became some of the most legendary cars.

Default McLaren MP4/6 Honda 1/10 Tamiya R/C car.

Brand new unused McLaren MP4/6 Honda 1/10 Tamiya R/C car.

Sad to have to let this one go as its one of the first Tamiya F102 series with multiple F1 world champion Ayrton Senna and Berger.
A real hard find and vintage collectors model.

Additional Ive added new Tamiya Front and rear reinforced slick Type B, the rears have been opened and put together though brand new and never used.

Place bid

Default brushed or brushless?

Do most local clubs still run silver can, have an option for 21.5 or run exclusively 21.5?
