It's just a Pro10 VERY THINLY veiled as an F1. If you put a wider chassis on it and removed the rear wing, it would be the same as most Pro10's.
I can see another type of F1 class coming if more companies go down the Corally path. Just what we need! (comment dosed liberally with sarcasm)

There was a bunch out that went down that path during the last F1 resurgence. I'm glad so far most of the manufacturers in this resurgence have not.

Lame. If they at least went with a Trinity/Speedmerchant type front end, the upper links would look somewhat scale. The pan car tires also have to go.

so what is the difference between the Corally and TRG or 3racing for instance? Other then that the Corally uses a better front suspension and tires?

edit:
Put the serpent s100 front suspension on and it looks pretty much scale imo

two wheel direct drive, solid axle with differential and suspension with a kingpin, t-bar. . Sure sounds like a duck to me

Put a formula 1 body on and it is a formula 1 car.

There is a couple of simple F1 rules that rule out the Corally

Maximum gap between front upper arm mounting points.
Single nut retainment on the rear wheel.

Corally fails on both, Tamiya, 3racing and TRG pass on both

The issue is that the front suspension looks horrible sticking out of the car. Pan car wheels are also terribly out of scale.

It's not that hard to use the F1 sized rims. In fact, you could run a 1/10 WGT car with f1 wheels if you used the HPI rear axle. A TRG style front end actually looks decent because the links run to the body, vs having the mounts sticking out of the car, along with the rest of the suspension parts. They make an attempt to keep it scale.

If they anodized the turnbuckles black, it would be even less noticeable.

Here's another duck, same description you gave.

The S100 front suspension isn't going to make it look any more scale as the mounting points are still well outside of the body. And as mentioned the wheels are terribly out of scale.

Yes the F103/F104 cars ARE pan cars...however they are scale pan cars and that was always a big part of the draw to the class. Scale is part of what is driving RC again. Look at the newer classes popping up...VTA, RCGT, Short Course Trucks, and F1...These are all scale classes and are some of the most popular classes in racing today.

yup but i am still right, an f103 is a pancar .

About the scale looks, yup if scale is your thing then sure it looks a little wacky. So if someone would put a scale front suspension on it it would be ok for you guys? Like a trinity / speedmerchant links?
