I can only hope we get an official RedBull body! I am scared to heat/mold the f60 body I got to make the nostrils.

I would LOVE to see a Redbull car, especially from Tamiya. You know it would be done right and include all the right decals that would be flexible for applying. Weíll have to cross our fingers.

I see you feel my pain

Don't get me wrong, great effort, but not quite the same.

I thought the foam conversion kit for the F10 was to allow the car to use F103/F104 rims. Didn't know the foam tire conversion kit required special rims and not F103/F104 rims. If F103 rims won't fit F104 rims won't work either. The hex on the rear of the F104 is the same size as that of the F103. The rear axle is the same width too. I have an F104 diff and axle assembly on my F103 and I use the same old tires.

How about setting the back end up for pan car foam wheels and tires? The rear axle on the F10 is a 1/4" axle, just like a pan car. Should be able to fit a pan car axle assembly to the back end with very little trouble. Plus rear foams for a pan car are wider then the F103 foams from what I understand. Don't know what it would take to use pan car wheels on the front though. Maybe just a change of bearings will work. What size bearings are used in the front wheels for the foam tire conversion?

it may, but i thought I read that the shaft on the front wheels was larger on the f103 and the rear hex was larger on the f103. but I thought that I read that the shaft/hex on the f104 was the same on the formula 10. the car is at home and im at work, i will have to get measurements once i get home. i know the specs on the wheels themselves are the same as the f103 wheels:
this is the research i have discovered...

model diameter width hole hex
Formula 10 rear 36mm 45mm 5mm 12mm?
Formula 10 front 36mm 30mm 5mm n/a
Formula 10 rear 38.5mm 30mm 4mm 12mm **rubber
Formula 10 front 38.5mm 30mm 4mm 12mm **rubber
F103 rear 36mm 44mm 5mm 12mm?
F103 front 36mm 30mm 5mm n/a
F104 rear 45mm 35mm 5.5mm 14mm
F104 front 45mm 30mm 5.5mm n/a

The hex for the F103/F104 on the rear axle is 14mm. IIRC the standard setup for the F10 (rubber tired version) uses a 12mm hex, same size as used on 4wd touring cars. The bearings used in the front wheels of the F103 is something like a 5mm by 8mm (from what I understand the F104 uses a larger overall bearing size but it's still a 5mm inner dimension).

I have both an old HPI Super F1 (set up for pan car tires) along with my F103. I also have a set of calipers. So if there is any dimension you need a measurement of let me know.

F103/104 wheels do not fit the F10, but if you want foams and want to plan ahead for that low profile look (which may be in F1 soon) then look for the IC Foams for the 220mm cars, they are 30mm wide fronts and 40mm wide rears and run on 12mm hexes.
