I wonder what their plans are for that chassis as far as tcs racing goes.
TCS here in Japan is F104 and no Wolf set ups.Or Lotus 79 for that mater. Also no F103s.

I remember those cars and they were awesome! The did a Ferrari 641 and the Williams Renault FW14. The cars were gorgeous and very scale. Your'e right, they should bring them back!!
Kyosho also made a really nice Jordan using the same chassis. For those that dont know the chassis came in nitro with the motor tilted so you didnt have to cut holes in the body,or a twin electric motor. They are really works of art, with great things such as the sway bar under the nose and push rod suspension.

but dont reckon that would be that much of an issue , although our track is fairly tight i reckon it will suit an f1 class wicked and cant wait
check out our website www.stmcc.com.au
I would suggest the 104, as the 103 has been discontinued and Tamiya is putting all efforts into the 104. The 103 is a great car (I own 5 of them) but its time has past. It is still a very competitive chassis, but the parts will become harder and harder to come by and I think you will start to see the attendance fall off if your eggs are in the 103 basket

the f103 is better but looking at both spec sheets i reckon the f104 sounds better any suggestions
The F-104 is patterned after the modern F1 cars, taller tires, narrow track, new body/wing styles.
As far as pace on the track.
It seems to be more in the tires than the chassis, at this time Tamiya do not offer foam tires for the 104 that are on par with the 103 Pre-mounts, nor do they offer the variety of foam tires that are available for the 103.
That and the larger sidewall of the 104 tires put this chassis at a slight disadvantage.
But this is Tamiyas' new flagship F1 model, and they have more or less put all their eggs in the 104 basket for the foreseeable future.
New parts are trickling in all the time.
Rubber tires, at least in our region are in fashion lately, and for this Tamiya and RIDE are producing a wide selection.

About the question. Hands down F103 performs better, mainly because its wider.

I have a few tc's and next week I'm gonna make the jump to f1 I'll probably buy an f104 f60 or Trg109!

bakaguyjean, yeah, that's the Ferrari 641 with the twin electric motors; the nitro version was just as you described and awesome! I wish they would bring back both versions!

Hey Guys ...... been racing Touring Cars since time began ... now getting into F1. As tankmeister stated, we are starting a controlled F1 class using F103 or F104 only. It seems there is a fair bit of set up info around on the F103 but can't seem to nut out the set up on the F104. Can anyone out there help us with some set up info.

Cheers

HAHA i wish i had alot of time on my hands, I'm in maintenance so we work like slaves. What good tracks are down there by Atsugi? Ive only found 1 indoor track right by my base but its drifting only. I need to find some more tracks for when i get my F1.

EDIT: I forgot Speedway pal is right by my house they have a few really nice tracks but I haven't been there yet, once i get a new ESC I'm gonna go there and drift.
