TB-02 Spool on eBay

The only website I can find for Tech Racing is all in Japanese, so if anyone here can read it for info on this spool that would be very helpful.

Got this pic from the tech racing site and description translated via google

THANKS!

I love the TB-02, have two, and the only thing that's ever bugged me was the lack of an available spool. I've been using homemade ones and they only last so long. This looks like the perfect spool, with an aluminum center and hardened steel outdrives. I'm going to order a couple right away and I'll post details once they arrive.

I decided to get one too. I'm planning to try it on my evo IV if it will fit. If not, then I'll use it on my TB-02. Thanks for posting that link

Heheh, when I posted the link it said "3 available". After you saw it it said "2 available".

Now it says "0 available"...

Yes! I did a bunch of gear mesh calculations, ordered up a couple of gears, and it works.

I shot for a little higher (numerically) FDR of 4.37 and it meshes perfectly, so my calculations were sound and these other gearing combos should work.

All of the following numbers pertain to 64p gears (use the "hockey puck" spur adapter that came with the kit).

FDR 4.37:
- 74t spur, 44t pinion, motor mount position B.
- I got these from superiorhobbies.com. 44t pinion=RRP4344, 74t spur=XENG640074
- tested and meshes perfectly

FDR 4.28:
- 74t spur, 45t pinion, motor mount position C.

FDR 4.25:
- 72t spur, 44t pinion, motor mount position A.
- 72t spur may be hard to find, but PRS just started making them.

FDR 4.47:
- 74t spur, 43t pinion, motor mount position A/B.
- 3racing mount A/B position will probably work perfectly with this combo

FDR 4.58:
- 74t spur, 42t pinion, motor mount position A.

It wouldn't hurt to use the 3racing motor mount with any of these combos as it gives you finer mesh adjustment.

I received the spool today and I just had to put it together. I don't have time to put it on the car, but it looks like it should fit fine on the TB02 and on my evo IV. Here's a pic with the stock TB02 ball diff.

Received two of these spools today and installed one. Everything fits and works perfectly! Finally, a spool for the TB-02. Two thumbs up!

Dave,
What are you looking for? Carbon shock towers and stuff like that? Derek and I used to run TB-02s and Evo IIIs and have some parts laying around.

Let me know.
