Tamiya TB-02

How good the car is depends more on who's driving than anything else. On carpet I got my you know what handed to me by a lot of cars, but on asphalt my little TB02 can hang most cars if I drive right.

it really depends on the driver more than anything, I have beaten many xrays and tc3's on carpet with it,
setup is a key factor in the car, if you can get the setup right you will be much better than if you are having trobles with it
regarldess in the same hands the tc4 is a much better car

Is the TB02 with the F201 gears much much faster than the standard TB02? How does the TB02 compare to the TA05?

using the 52T spur (F201 gears) will work if your motor/track size calls for it. (i.e. gear ratios of 5.07-5.9, etc)

Actually it depends on the surface. The TB02 is real good on asphalt. Mine was doin just fine at TCS regionals until I got excited and overdrove it in the main. Many TA05's fell that day I must say. Bring on the TB03!!!!!!!

I've been driving my TB02 for a while now, and it's miles ahead of my TT01.
It's still pretty much bone stock, but I'm loving it like crazy (For a race car. my TT01 is now a very very good drift car... hehe).
Any setup suggestions for a one-way? I just ordered one for this car.

But can the TB02R keep up with the TA05?
And are these the F201 gears that give the TB02 its best performance?
