Kawada T plate same as AE?

I have a Kawada 12 scale car. I broke my T plate. I was wondering if anyone knew if the AE one will fit. I can't seem to find the Kawada parts anywhere in north america. The Kawada and AE parts look the same bit nobody around my area has them to actually find out.

Thanks

I highly doubt they would work...

Since the AE car is designed with standard US messurments and the Kawada being metric I doubt it....

You are probably going to just have to try one to find out...unless a very experienced Japaneze 12th scale guy sees this thread...

One of the guys showed up with the AE car tonight and he had a spare plate. It doesn't work. Anyone know of another one that might work? I don't know 1/12 scale so I have no idea which cars are metric and which aren't, what may work, what won't.

Anyone know a place in North America, preferably Canada who can get or stocks Kawada?

The Corally SP12X uses a t-plate too. It should be metric but no idea if it is even close to the Kawada.

@ $16 each it's not something I'd gamble on but you can find them at T-bang:

The Corally SP12X T-bar will not work properly because it use some plastic inserts instead of the plastic hub with the metal ball.

I have a couple of Kawada M300 Rsw, but I'm in Italy (not Japan :ha: ).....

Here in Italy there is a shop that sell kawada parts but I think that the cost of the spare and the shipment is rather high due to the current Euro vs USD exchange rate.

Also http://www.rc-direct.co.uk/ sells kawada parts, however i think there is the same problem.

Another solution is to buy some spare fiberglass (or carbon composite) sheet and find a generous guy with a milling machine.

Bye

RCmodel Online in HK has the Kawada T-bars but my guess would be that an AE T-bar would fit. I used these in the HB C12 also and I just drilled the mounting holes up to 3mm. If that's the only problem then I don't see it :)

Anyway, for original Kawada T-bars... See the site from RCmodel Online in HK with the following part numbers:

- KA-RSR-2
- KA-RSR-2S
