Raced mine last night. Had a blast with the 1S 13.5. Very easy to drive it fast on our 90 x 50 carpet track. Took it to work and tinkered with gearing some more. Its ready for its trip to Dallas, Texas with me next week.

I ran against a 1/12 with a 10.5 1S. It was about .5 to .75 a lap faster, but he lost traction 3 or 4 times and I beat him by half a lap. Speed wise, not much different as the weights went down.

I agree with tally...lets just stick with 1S/13.5, end all this moaning and complaining and get out there. I mean Ive got my 4C packs (until I can get the stuff to be able to run 1S) and I just hope we can leave this and grow the class. they obviously have the right idea down BF's way. I dont know how they do it at my hometown track but I know they run WGT down that way. I just want to get a COrvette C6 paint it up and hit the track.

More testing in Texas. Mike's Hobby Shop is SWEET! Glad I brought the car with. 1S 13.5 is just fine. I've taken another .8 off my lap times today by dropping 2 more teeth on my pinion. I will continue to push this all winter for our indoor carpet track and race it as much as possible.

Tekin Redline 13.5: 5* Endbell
Tekin RS: V200 firmware, 20* Timing Boost, Full Turbo with .5 delay.

I personally like 10 for deadband, 20 drag brake and 6V cutoff. I keep the car as Brushless/Forward even for practice.

I run CRC Spec tires and the Gen X 10 with the shortie bumper and nerf bars.

Nice ride...I have the pantoura...what kind of changes would need to be made (if any) to get that 1S ready?

well ive been running the past few months. I have a 10.5 and 1s and its alot of fun to drive. its the same as 13.5 and 4cell. but everyone at our track swiched to 13.5 and 1s. SAo i did too. IT SUCKS!!! why does everyone like this? Its so slow! no speed, no punch. I really think its gonna kill the class. whats the fun in driving a car around a track where you dont have to lift? and dont say i must have not geared it right cause your wrong. I just think ths class took a turn for the worse.

It is easier to slap power into a car and go fast, but it is much harder to find proper setup and drive fast with little power. I would rather see racers drive like they have some sense, than have racer strap in more power than they can handel and tear up there car or another driver car. Ask any pro out there that has driven 235 back in the day they were a hand full!

Its not that. the 10.5 is Far from fast. And I agree with you to a point. there are lots of people out there that like a idiot cause they have too much power. But I feel with 13.5 1s you just hold the trigger and steer, whats challanging about that? I just think the class was alot more fun a year ago.

But tell me, what separates the fast guys running 13.5 1C and the slow guys?
If your fast that means more competitive racing no matter how much motor you have.
