Would there be a place for having people paint up bodies to look like legit FIA GT or Speed GT race cars? I mean there are some very nice looking Vipers, Corvettes (I like PK Carsport and Luc Alphand adventures from FIA GT myself), Nissans and even Maseratis (with the Gianna set to hit shelves later this year), why not try that or something?
I did a Vette white with red racing stripes just to get my car on the road. Then I had someone paint a Sophia for me. The paint is nice, but to my eye, it just didn't look right with lightning bolts and chrome paint and color fades. I think when these 2 bodies are toast I'll do a representation of a real paint scheme I like on another Vette and really take my time on it. I race TA also and really like the real car look.

Get the TQ booster and 49000 40C combo from TQ. $92.95 total shipped. The package was $79.95 and $13 for UPS shipping. http://tqcells.com/ The site is a little odd to navigate and they don't charge for shipping until after you make your purchase. The package was $79.95 and $13 for UPS shipping.

Whatever happened to this idea of specing this class? I guess it's dead and buried, eh? Too bad.

I wouldnt call it dead and buried just yet...my bad on being behind the times. I mean there are 30 guys in the WGT class in Vegas (12 in the Pro WGT class)

Umm... I think you mis-read my post. The key word was "spec." And what we call World GT rules right now sure ain't spec.

I do get what youre saying Adam...really somebody needs to take the reins here and set something in stone (much like the guys who took over at the outset of VTA). I do know that they took into account the burgeoning LiPo advances and now that class is doing well. I think WGT still has a chance and I think that with LiPo finally getting settled in if we can finally settle on a for sure formula for the class that everybody can agree on (and I think 1S/13.5 is a pretty fair formula) then we can still see growth for the class but that is just my feeling and opinion on the matter

So when you say spec, other than motors and tire compound what would you like to see?

Pictures of the World GT 2009 spec car (as the World GT rules stand):
CRC GenX 10
Lilac tires
13.5 motor
1S battery
Regulation body

Battery is the SMC 4900 with a TQ Booster for electronics.
