liljohn,

As Verndog suggests, this should be on the CRC Gen-X 10 thread to get better input.

What surface are you running on? FYI...I run a 17.5/lipo setup with no such issues on carpet.

I would check your axle spacing side to side, making sure it is even. That happens a lot in 1/12.

ANybody used an LRP Sphere TC with their brushless motor? (13.5, 17.5, 21.5) How would you set it up? also, what do you do for the cooling fan...separate powersupply or does that run off your primary battery as well?

I'm running a GTB, but... The motor comes off at 140 with no heat sink and the ESC never gets hot with the 21.5 lipo. The car is now a half second faster than the touring cars. I got dogged a little as the car is running foams and there is an older Corally F1 that is faster with a silver can. At half the weight, I can see why its faster.

I have used a LRP Sphere 2007 (no fan) with 13.5 and 17.5 motors with no heat issues for months now. Was easier to balance my CRC chassis without that heat sink and fan on the ESC.

I agree with Bill. I've had my 2007 Sphere over 1 year no heat sink or fan, no heat issues running mostly 13.5 both NiMh and LiPo. When you go 10.5 and under, then it may be a good idea. I have a TC spec I may put into the WGT, and you actually have to pull the bottom cover and unsolder the fan to remove. I'll likely do that before running.

Well one of the regulars at the Gate in Ohio (home of the Carpet Nats) said that most people wait til after the Snowbirds to finalize their plans for the Nationals so we should see a good number of WGT cars and varying chassis on the entry list here soon

Well I hope this class is going good somewhere. It died down here this last weekend. I'll have more to say on a differnet thread later about what happened.

Well Colorado is doing very well ..... we have 2 strong heats and working towards 3. Big push locally by Team CRC, but Speedmerchant, Associated, BMI and Darkside are all in the mix.

We are running 17.5 and 2 cell lipo, so we have gained both 1/12 and touring car drivers. Which I think is helping, but at some point we will probably need to start a 1 cell class to slow it down for some of us with OLD EYES and REFLEXES!!!
