Id like to see the WGT class really grow first but I will say that as I am tracking the relative growth of the class I have been rattling an idea around in my head for a World GT event (GT1 and GT2 classes) and I'll be working some stuff out while I keep an eye on the GT racing scene.
TD71,
Rather than let ideas rattle around in your head, get out there and race!!
Your ill-fated US Pancar Championship should have taught you that. You will learn more in a weekend of club racing than a lifetime spent trolling these boards.

DP I saw your prototype at Nats, looked good. Are you releasing a 10th, too?

Well this is one of the Feature classes at our ETRC Raceway 2nd Annual Fall Cla$$ic. We recently had a warmup race and this class looks to be tons of fun. If you wanna see these World GT cars in action come check it out.
Here is a link to the registration form. In addition to the sponsors on the form MuchMore and Great Plains are sponsors for this race as well.

you should be able to use any speedo that is sensored (tekin, novak, sp, etc)

Personally I wouldn't go with a spec tire compound...brand maybe but not compound. Different chassis need different tires to get the same performance. You don't see it so much in cars with rubber tires but in pan cars I usually see 3 or 4 different tire combinations on less then 10 cars.

Yes, the LRP is a sensored motor. Any of the sensor based speed controls (novak, LRP, Nosram, Tekin, speedpassion, Losi, etc.) will work.

At the recent Halloween classic, I saw the rubber tire touring cars switching tires more often then the world GT cars. (at least where I was setting...)

Whoooo Hoooooo
Last night at NorCal Hobbies carpet racing, Crashby and I traded our 13.5/lipo setups for 17.5/lipo setups on our Gen-X 10 cars. We were only .1-.2 seconds off of our lap times of last weekend with the 13.5s. I was totally surprised to be that close in times. We figure that OD's car with 13.5/4-cell is sandbagging us...LOL. Will try 21.5/lipo combo on Sunday to see the performance of that.
Also, we both went from Jaco Purple/Pinks to the 1/10th pan spec tires. He had the IIC foams and I used the new CRC foams. No real difference to my thinking.
I won last night; so, score is now 1-1. Crashby gets fast lap; but, I TQ. Really close and really fun!
