Questions?? Novak Havok=Mongoose?

Cousin of the Mongoose? They look almost exactly the same except for the case color. I wonder ....

I think it's probably closer to the XBR than the mongoose

By the specs it looks the same as an XBR on the brushless side but the brushed side is better on the XBR. For $140 with 8.5 motor sounds like a good deal to me.

Not the same. Smart engineering by re-using a few parts.

Looks like XBR is more powerful on the brushed side. Maybe this is just cheaper to make than the XBR and Novak figured nobody uses it for brushed anyway.

I maybe wrong, but looks like a newer version of the XBR. Maybe a different and cheaper style of fets like what Castle did with introducing the Sidewinder.
Right now isn't the time to charge $300 a ESC when the r/c market is slim pickens. Novak can start to pull in the brushless fence sitters by offering a cheaper system before the start of ROAR's 2009 Brushless season.

The foot print of the Havok and XBR is the same and larger than a mongoose. So this is not a Mongoose with an extra layer of fets.

Looks like an XBR package with sintered rotor instead of bonded.

Heheh, i know i have a mongoose, trying to shoe horn it into my m18. I dunno just w/ all the co/re/oem branding going w/ motors and various other stuff thought novak was getting on the same wagon.
