Have you tried http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/rcp...chassis_id=A33 they carry a decent selection. I have only ever used the kit rears and HBR fronts on the car.

Most online stores now sell foam and rubber tires. RCmart to name one.

I know this thread says F102 but I can't resist posting up some pics of my new Williams FW18. I've been working on it all day today and I'm pretty happy with the progress so far. I'm going to mount it up on my F103RM chassis. I've posted pics below showing the progress of the day. Masking the damn thing took most of the time...I'd say a good ten hours total with a few breaks.

Below are some pics showing some updates to the Williams FW18 I've been working on. I got the front wing completed this morning, the rear wing is next. Then tires and wheel, helmet, cockpit...then I think I'm done? But it's time for a break...it's time for FOOTBALL!!!

Lookin good Vyger, i'm looking for one of those next... as you know ,i just picked up a "footlwork" F102, it appears to be "stock" what is the stock pinion/spur combo for this? while on the bay,i also picked up a "suitcase of motors ranging from 6turn-27T motors (17 in all) flat wire, round wire, double, triple wound etc... I will be runnin this car almost entirely on asphalt,(and some carpet time too)with mostly long straights, not too intricate, and would like some advice on combo's (motor, spur, pinion, tires) any and all help/info/advice is welcome thanks all.....

Damn that's a good score on the motors if they're in good shape. I wouldn't get to crazy with the mods in the F1 car. I've run down to a 14 turn but that was basically on an oval. I used the F103L which is the longer wheel base Indy car. You probably don't want to use anything heavier than a 19 turn motor. Check with your local track and see what they're allowing in that class.
I take it you got the other post with the gearing selection. I use that with the kit type (silver can) motor. They're not the fastest motor out there but if everyone else has to run them it's a blast for tight racing. The biggest thing to remember is to run a clean tight line. If you can do that for five minutes your should be golden.

51.00 bucks what a steal.... right place at the right time....my son inspected all the motors and all he could say was "Damn Dad,these are hardly used" most have fresh, seated brushes.....I'll try a 19t for now, just to satisfy the itch to tinker, lookin for a few more F-1's to round out the garage, just need a link for some preferential bodies....

How about a Tyrrell Yamaha 023 on a Tamiya F201 car / bodyset ? All of the blue and black is painted. I used the original F103 sticker set to complete. I just need to get off my butt and change the "motosport" decals to "Mild Seven". You know how hard it can be to cut stickers.

Thanks. I also have a VERY detailed Williams FW24 BMW, Ferrari 2004 in Marlboro livery and a Camel Lotus 99T that I did on F201 cars. When I have some "free time" I will start on some older F1's. I have the Lotus 102B and Ferrari F310B new in kit. For NIB bodies, I have the Williams FW12, Jordan 191, Benneton B195, Tyrrell Yamaha 023, Ligier JS41, Ferrari F310B, Williams FW18 and McLaren MR4/16. I also have all the tobacco sponsor stickers (Rothmans, Mild Seven, Gitanes, Marlboro and West) to make them right. I was a corner worker (flagman) back in the '80's at the Long Beach Grand Prix when it was the F1 circus and just always loved these cars.

Kevin that is one sweet lookin ride! I was trying to find that sticker/body set a while ago and had a bitch of time tracking one down. You did a really nice job with it.
Thanks Tommi. I appreciate the comments/feedback. I did some more work tonight on the rear wing, tires and wheels I posted pics on the F103RM forum but...I couldn't resist posting here too. LOL I'm hoping to get the cockpit painted up the weekend with the helmet. We'll see how much time I get.
