D5 Slower Than P2K2

i just came back from racing after the first race, because the car just runs so slow, the motor used to sound like a jet engine now it sounds like a bee. We have tried changing the timing but it is still inbeleivable slow. The D5 11X1 IS Slower than my p2k2. Do you know how i can solve this?

I have never cut the comm as i dont have a lathe but the brushes and springs are new.

Find someone who has a lathe to true that commutator. My guess is the comm is so dirtied up and corroded that the brushes can not conduct enough power to it for it to run decent.

It is really best to cut your com on your modified motors atleast every 4 runs.

Set your motor at 20 degrees timing/purple springs/Trinity 4380EP brush.

Good Luck!

... also, change the springs every brush change.
