Default FDR \ Roll Out calculator

For anyone that's interested I put together an Excel spreadsheet that allows you to calculate FDR and roll out by plugging a few numbers. No more having to remember formulas for roll out. This also contains a list of most the TC's on the market with there Internal Drive Ratios (IDR). Lastly, there's a rather large matrix with just about every spear to pinon combination anyone would use where all you have to enter is your cars IDR.

Sheet 1 (FDR Calc) - custom FDR \ and Roll out calculations
Sheet 2 (CAR IDR) - CAR IDR chart
Sheet 3 (FDR Matrix) - FDR Matrix
Sheet 4 (Novak Mtr Info) - Novak suggested BL FDR's buy motor

Sheet 1 (FDR Calc) is protected so you don't accidentally type something in the calculation fields. The password is included on the sheet if you want to unprotected it. The spreadsheet is Excel 2003 format. If anyone needs and older version PM me.

For those that have smart phones that can open Excel spreadsheet this is awesome to have at the track. I use it almost ever week for myself and helping others.

FDR Calc gives you three options for calcualting gear ratios.

1. The standard FDR calc where you enter Pinon and Spear size.
2. Calculates the Pinon size from Spear, tire diameter, and required roll out.
3. Calculates the Pinon size from Spear size and FDR required.

Yea Gearchart.com is a cool website but how many people have internet access at the track via a laptop or phone? Many phones also do not play flash programs. This does all the same same calculations and you don't need access to the internet to use it.

This is just a second option for all those that needed it.

Hello Guys,
I would just like to ask how you know what rollout to use for this and that motor or is it what rollout for this or that track size?
Sorry for the newbie question, new to 12 scale racing
Thanks in advance!
