Default Stock Motor tuning

I haven't run stock motors for years so am looking for any hints/tips that anyone has got there. I have heard of removing some material from the side of the brushes for more RPM. Has anyone tried that?? how much do you take off??

The motor is a P2K2.

What brushes would people surgest running??

Hi Matt

You can try silver brushes and also try using a slightly heavier spring on the positive brush. I use the Corally Silver spring on the negative and the Corally gold spring on the positive. This should make your motor more efficient.
