A bit of an update, guys and girls.
Well, its been active nearly 2 weeks on Monday, and what can we say?
Simply, a big THANKYOU!
When Nick first came to me with his idea for the game, neither of us realised how popular it would be. I mean, national teams, a worldwide userbase (hello to the Mayasian and Lativian players!), and above all, RC'ers worldwide having fun again, something not necessarily remembered in the world of TC.
Looking at the racelist, we've hit the 7000 mark and knocked it out of the park (sorry for the baseball term
), at this rate it'll be 10,000 races completed in the first 2 weeks!
And, nearly 400 individuals playing is just awesome. And yes, we've spotted a few 'well known' racers playing, we'll save their names unless they'd like to make themselves known, but thanks for the support.
With us having such a massive userbase though, we've encountered some issues, some problems, some headaches that weren't a simple fix. However, everyone's pulled out the stops and we're confident the game has a nice balance, one that doesn't automatically reward the guys and girls that can play all day long. We're racers at heart and know you need some real wheel-time.
Anyway, the main update has been a change to the balance of the game, no longer do you have to repair parts so often, and the cap on prices has knocked profiteering (mostly) on the head.
That might be a bad thing, it might be a good thing, time will tell. But, we listen to everyone's input and ideas. None will be dismissed straight away, but naturally some suggestions are really hard to implement, so cant be put into action straight away. One thing we can confirm though is, there WILL be new items, parts and cars added, but this is likely to be after the TC Worlds in Thailiand, so the game can be as fresh as we can make it
Keep it shiney side up!
PS, we'll never say no to new players, so get the link out there at your local track, your websites, blogs, Facebook/Myspace etc. Speaking of Facebook, we've got a group setup ( http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gi...3231392&ref=ts
), incase you want to join.
