Default Tamiya TT-01E

hi there everybody

i recently bought this tamiya kit. the new TT-01E with the Porsche GT3 body. i've been into this hobby for quite a long time now but this will be my very first electric car. so i guess i'll be frequent in this forum from now on.

first question for now is....can i put silicone diff oil instead of the grease they supplied with the kit??? it's got no o-rings so i dont know if they will leak or not. anybody has done this???

thanks!

hows it going. if you want to tune the diffs, you should use something like diff clay, or silly puddy is what i use. Also some must have upgrades for this car are the ball bearing kit, the aluminum shaft, and the aluminum motor mount.

I just got one also, this is my fifth or sixth tt01, but first e. I'm doing mine as a rally car build and one thing i can say is that bushings are crap. i melted at least two (i'm still pulling the car apart) an probably more. So ball bearings is a must have!

any ways this is an awesome car and i'm sure youll love it. enjoy.
