Kwax, i too am new to these system, maybe you should just check the esc settings and throttle adjustments ... i dont feel cogging at low throttle with my 9T motor
Well mine arrived yesterday, installed into the Traxxas Slash, balloons the tyres nicely on a 6 cell pack, FDR I am using on a 12t is 10.17 based on Novak gearing suggestions for brushless motors with sintered rotors (they suggest fdr of 9.5 for a 10.5 turn motor) And the Slash wheels are roughly the size as a ST
Now to see if it is as page 3 on the manual states and "waterproof"

Well just tried it in the Slash with a 7 cell pack, geared it 23/86, after 10 minutes or so outside temp 70 farenheight, the motor peaked at 154 degrees, is this fine? Want to have a gearing I can use in summer (ie 100 degree days) as well.

Don't brushless motors get hot if they are undergeared (ie they over rev?) next lowest pinion I have is an 18 which is the stock Slash pinion. Would that suffice?

Had a look inside the motor, the rotor is actually bonded not sintered and looks very similar to a Feigao or VXL motor, that said it is a 540 size rotor.
The rear bearing is easy to get to and clean though, and at least the rear endbell isn't pressed on.
A lot of the ppl with the Slash running a VXL gear down to 19/86 in warmer weather so I may follow that advice, the 12t motor is 3279kv against the 3500kv vxl motor so I'd assume they'd gear very much alike.
Buying more pinions isn't an option, just had to get 35-40's for the TA05 racing, can only hope this motor behaves like the Trinity 17.5 in the TA-05 that thing runs all day, runs cool and on the track belts the Novak and LRP 17.5's for six!

I got a 9T with this one.. and I suppose could just limit the top end to run it down to say 19t equiv. or stock equiv. but most places you race want you to have an equiv motor in place.
SO is there motors available? will they be on your site soon RC Market?
How do we compare these hobbywing or ezrun motors to others on the market?

I'd like to see rcmarket offer a constructive comment not an advertising plug, you have the units in stock, have you actually tested one? Last order I did with you you held up on purpose so IMO people can buy from OTHER sites (ie cannon sells them)
Put the 18t pinion on, will see how temps are with that, that's stock gearing for the Traxxas Slash and closer to the 19/86 ratio the Traxxas Stampede VXL comes factory geared at.

i got a friend who has this problem, when the ezrun connected to spektrum rx, after less that 1 minute, the rx will reset itself, like in glitch situation,
but if those frequency rx no problem, but the spektrum rx connect to my ezrun no problem...
any ideas?
