Can't honestly say i noticed, but it does it when i first turn the car on with a low battery, so i don't think it's a over heating problem.

I will check the lights next time though, thanks.

If it blinks red lights it means its at voltage cut off. Try disabling the voltage cut off function only if you are using Nimh batt, for lipo you have to use the voltage cut off otherwise you'll ruin your lipo.

As i say i'm using NiMh batteries, i did suspect the LiPo voltage cut off that was the first setting i checked, but it is deactivated.

Any other ideas please?

I'm running NiMh and the LiPo battery level mode thing is off.

Any ideas please?
Ya your batt is too low to provide enough juice to go. Recharge!

Aye it's certainly getting low when the problem occurs but.

1/ It's never done it on any of the other ESC's and motors.
2/ It does it when there's still enough juice in the battery to power the car to decent speeds.
3/ The cars pretty much undrivable like that, so i'm unable to drain the battery.
4/ When i cycle the battery theres enough juice in it that it takes 1 hour or so to discharge.

So it's absolutely as a result of the battery getting low, but it's not a normal reaction to a low battery, is there any way to stop it?

Also anyone experimented with the timing on the motor please?

Cheers
Mark

Mine does it too. My batts aren't very good anymore, so I need to upgrade. I've upped the timing a notch

Depends on what the friend is using it for. Great for bashing and low maintenance. Probably for some club off road races too.

It's awesome for the $$$. I've had 3 mamba's and 1 vxl. Feels about the same in torque and speed as the vxl did in my slash, but the esc has alot more adjustability. Mamba's are alot faster but my mamba's ran hotter than my ez has.

Sorry for late answer. Those are 4mm bullet connectors, I bought cheap Deans T-connectors at ecpower.hk.com (6usd for 10 pairs), but be careful they don't seem to be heat resistant as regular ones (I haven't checked them yet)...

Plug it in and follow the directions. Pull full throttle, then release, then full brake. Then you're good to go.

Can anyone tell me if the EZrun 8.5 brushless motor in the 60 amp esc package is any good ( meaning is it on par with any of the other 8.5's out there power wise and effiency wise?)

I want to use this system in a Losi MF2 truck.

thanks....
