A guy at our club found the OTT lites on clearance at a local home depot(hardware store) so 3 of us got them for $10 USD ea. Not sure if it's a chainwide clearance or just that particular one was looking to get rid of them.

There is also a company that makes the same light but is cheaper. The company is called tensor. Here is a link to one that is $15 USD.

I'm not sure about this info but it's the bulb that make the ottlite stand out from the rest. So as long as the lamp can use the ottlite buld, get it. Best ask around and see if this info is correct.

The tensor light is pretty much the same one I have had for a long time. Great for pit space working. not sure if it would take the ott light bulb, havnt had a reason to replace mine.

Here in the USA, off-brand versions are available at Fry's and Staples for around $20.

Yep! Got mine at staples for around $30 only so Fry's could sell them for $16 a month later. Mine is around 4 yrs old and still works great. :)

This IS the same light I purchased from STAPLES for about $20.00 a few years ago.

I don't remember what the bulb was that was in it, but I believe it was only a 9w bulb. The Ott-Lite bulb is a True Color and VisionSaver Full Spectrum Non-Glare Natural Light bulb that I think is 13w's.

I know regular color 13w bulbs are available fairly cheap, but I believe the Ott-Lite replacement bulbs were like 12-14 bucks...and they DO work in the TENSOR lights.

Theyre $40 at Frys, just bought one. They only sell the dove gray color as well, no black.

Thanx dudes
As I expected all good priced affordable ones again US based Nothing Here in UK:cry:
Why do we have to pay more than double for everything you can imagine in the world:cry:

Walmart carries a folding desk lamp with a 13w fluorescent bulb that looks almost exactly like an Ott light. It was priced at $20 (cdn) so I imagine US pricing would be around $15.
