Default Triton Jr and Lipo

Hi guys, question for a buddy of mine.
He bought a triton jr back about 4 years ago or more so it's one of the originals I believe. On the box it says li-ion, but I thought guys say you can do lipos with this charger also. Can this charger be updated? I don't even know the difference in charging between a lipo and li-ion.

Any help will be appreciated.

The Triton Jr. should be able to charge LiPo.

I bought one a couple of years ago and it could do LiPo.

Does the charger say Lipo/ Ion on it?

I am pretty sure that the Trition Jr. can charge LiPo as it was just a smaller version of the Trition.

Has the Triton Jr. been out for that long already?

The one he has only says li-ion on it. I was surprised, but he got it when any lipos were first being talked about. I think he's just going to sell it and pick up a hyperion or something that he knows will do lipo. Thanks for the help.

Yah I thought the Triton Jr. only came out a couple of years ago?

Anyways I use an Hyperion EOS0606i AC/DC charger and love it!

For around $140 it's a great little AC/DC charge anything charger with built in balancer!

Was there a triton before the triton jr? It's a triton for sure, I guess it could be something other than a jr though. I use a hyperion myself and love the thing.

It should have a button on it to cycle through the battery types it will charge. If one option is LIPO you'll be good to go.

Sounds like it might be a Triton (1st version) But I am pretty sure that all the Tritons can charge LiPo's.
