i bet when it comes to the ifmar istc 2004 he will use the trf414m2 wcr wiv the ssg chassis and lightweight bulkheads.
I am willing to bet good money they dont. The 414 is dead, the SSG bits and the light weight bulkheads have been out for months for it and Surikarn no longer runs a 414 so development is pretty dead on it. Long live the Evo 3 S. Rick

uhhhmm, iam not biased ive got the evo3 s and the 414m2 wcr and i reckon if tamiya carried on developing it it will b better.
if i didnt want to race and damage my 414 then i wud most deafinetly race it over the evo3 s.
any way rick you gonna race your evo3 s at the brca nationals?
tamiya hasnt got a uk team for the nationals have they?

i think your suppose to gear a belt higher then the shaft since the belt doesnt create as much friction as gears

i dunno how hi you'll have to try that out yourself
just go up lil by lil

Im using the 414 in stock 27t and in 23t classes and it kicks ass, i really prefer the 414 over my evo III. Just got to brush on my driving skill a little Im using an ssg upper deck and fr and rr shock towers and the standard chassis.

try using a 112t spur 40t pinion, i used this gearing on an MVP when i ran in rockwell i tried a 120t spur before but it wasnt as fast (both acceleration & top speed) compared to 112t.

Default need advice...

what's the difference btw the 414M, WE, and MII?
is it still worth getting a used 414M now?
or should i wait for a MII to come up for sale?

comparing the 414M to a fully hopped up TA04R?
which should i go for if they are the same price?

Pareng evaa,

I have a 414M2 WRC and I have ran it in stock, 19 and mod. I usually go 120 to 125 on the spur, 33 to 36 on the pinion for a Monster stock which has high rpm. You can use this as a base then change the pinion depending on the motor and track. You might also want to check the drivetrain and bearings wether they are binding.

On another note, do you guys have any problems with the delrin outdrives breaking easily or notching too often? How did you guys come around this? I was thinking of dremelling this down and putting a blade on the CVD.

anyone know where i can buy the lightweight bulkheads? i know steve (speedtechrc) carries the ssg stuff. i want to buy the lightweight bulkheads and see if there is a difference.

also, i saw Ling Kang Tong run his 414M as an SS chassis and he used the MR-S racing body at the last TCS. has anyone else tried this? he used only the front arms. he also said using the rear arms made the car too twitchy. i doubt this will be TCS Nats. legal tho, although he has won a few TCS events already. btw. he placed second in GT1 with his 414M-SS chassis. (it was a great battle too!) Ling if your reading this, can you email me your set up. I like the way the SS chassis run..and id like to convert my MII into an SS chassis. Plus i like how the MR-S body looks and performs.

last, ultimatehobbies has the 414MII on sale for $219.. i might build one that has all the ssg/lightweight bulkheads. anyone do this yet?

I took one of the TRF414mIIs from Ultimate.. don't know how many more they have.

Don't they have the lightweight bulkheads on Ebay?
