thats right
for the bulkhead they dont lighten the car all that much but the center of gravity is suppose to be better
i dunno i didnt get them. i dont think its worth that kind of money same with the ssg
maybe when im a millionaire
why dont you just drill holes in it not literally

Calvin,
The part # for the Schumacher straps is U744R. It comes with 2 complete straps which will do 1 car.
I probably made this sound harder than what it really is.
Countersunk screw holes require a tool which works with a power drill. Available at any Sears or a good hardware store like Ace.
If you want to make it easy...just use the slots(for the tape or velcro you already use). Use philips head screws and some washers to mount the new straps. That way you can adjust their position a little. Very easy. Its worth the $7.00 (approximate) investment.

yeah the thing is with velcro pubbles and small rocks can get stuck in between it and fall. and you always have to change it and stuff because it wares out because of the ripping and stuff

to the black CF one in the MII kit; yes it has cutouts for
saddles but you can also use sticks with the holder.
But I'm told the 414M-WCR's chassis has no provision for sticks.

let me take that back
there not exactly the same because the battery holders on that one are closer to the center. make it have a lower center of gravity
i knew that before but personally i dont think it makes a diffrence

Aproximately 1490 grams for 414 World Replica with the following conditions: SSGs, lighweight bulkhead and motor plates, solid one price front one way, painted body shell, motor, TRF2002 esc, S9550 servo, R203 HRS receiver, and an AMB personal transponder as well as GP3300 bateries in 'KS' battery straps.
It does perfom different with SSG chassis as it is narrower but it doesn't make any different since there are droop screws and dampers adjustment.
It looks very very nice... only when they are new as it will become black when scratched.
Note: you will be needed thinner wires to built/connect your saddle pack batteries (3 left to 3 on the right) as the ussual 12gauge will fit snugged since SSG has narrower width.

Is there a kit out there called the 414 m2 special edition? I think the kit comes with the SSG chassis and some other stuff. I'm looking for that kit. Anyone know what the difference is between it and the regular 414m2?

No such animal that I know of. The SSG stuff is available as add ons, just like the lightweight alloy stuff. Looks good though...doesn't it !!?

Have you tried measures your 414 steering linkage with Hudy alignment (when turning full left/right)? The farthest we can comes up with is 27degree compared to 23 degree with original/as per manual configuration.
Stonedgti... maybe you are reffering to TRF TA04 that comes standard with SSG chassis and other hop ups.

man the 414 m2 is cheap at ultimate hobbies, only 219

i doubt it.
i wander why they are still upgrading the 414?
i bet when it comes to the ifmar istc 2004 he will use the trf414m2 wcr wiv the ssg chassis and lightweight bulkheads.
