I have never heard of this problem. Usually it is operator errors that cause settings to not up/download. Make sure that you have set the VFS to the programming mode. Hold the on/off button until the light comes on, then off and then on again.

If you are using the hand held programmer, make sure that you are using the menu function that reads Tx RX. This is to transmit and receive programming.

Many people use the wrong function to do this (Load Save function). This is to store the setting in your hand held programmer and NOT to up/download setting.
Yup, this is just what was said to one of my friends at the race. I was just wondering if you have heard of this.

Thanks and I will drop this issue and play with the speed control via big rubber hammer. Maybe I will send it in then and pay for the repair and say, "I hit a board". It kinda fell apart. j/k, I wouldn't do that. I still do think that there is something wrong with the speed control and all I am recieving from the support staff is that i'm doing something wrong. I am not doing something wrong and am willing to put up my whole lot of 37 cars to prove me wrong. 15 years of rc experience, a degree in electronics repair and computer repair. I have fixed many rc electronics parts for people that didn't want to wait for warranty work. Hundreds of cars and sets of electronics later, this is the first that went wacky like this. They usually let out some smoke when they stop working right. I will be getting the speedo back from Adam soon. Then it will be ripped apart and tested. I will probably get another vfs-2000 for testing also and compare the numbers. Thanks for the support.

Do you guys know how long the warranty is on the VFS if it even has one? My new ESC doesn't have any information on that stuff.

Thanks

I finally bit the bullit and bought the handheld programmer today, and I am really impressed. The thing is really easy to use. It took some getting used to in order to get the speedo into the programming mode, but once I got the hang of it I had no problems. Question though: I was curious what exactly the ALL SEL is? Does that mean if I want to set everything to, say, 32 that is what it will do? The manual isn't translated as well as I would like, hence my question.

gary.. it'll move the entire curve up.. lets say your set up was 17 all across.. and you do all sel from 17 to 21... your curve will be all 21.

now if your throttle profile starts at 8..and ends at 27. all sel will be at 27. (highest point for your profile) if you move it from 27 to say... 30.. then your profile will now start at 11 and end at 30.. and everything else inbetween will be moved up by three stages.

dont know if i explained that properly or clearly.

So basically, lets say the profile is:

10 10 10 10 10 10 10 11 12 13 13 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20....ending at 30 with a Sel All to 30...if I were to bump the sel al to 35, it would start at 15 15 15 15 15 15 15 16 17 18 18 18 19 20 21...ending at 35? Is that right?

Or does Sel All set the curve linear...so if Sel All is 17, it's 17 across the board?

Gary-
The select all will move every throttle position by 5 like your example.

OK, so if I want my speedo set from x-25, and I WANT 25 at the end, the Sel All should be set to 25, correct?

So I guess that would be no warranty. How odd in these times.

Gary-
This would be true for the handsetting adapter. For the PC interface it takes the average of the graph and gives a value for the Select All feature.

MikeR-
There is no warranty for the VFS. It is a performance product and programming it incorrectly could damage your motor and/or ESC. Please read the VFS help center section on the website http://www.kopropo.com/vfs_help_center.htm
