Chances are this is just a TTL to RS232 circuit based around a MAX232 or similar. This sort of thing is quite common on any microcontroller -> PC connection. I've seen these on PDAs, cable modems, GPS receivers , and so on.

Once again, I have never seen the cable so I'm only guessing and any experimentation is at your own risk.

Id say so!! The vfs is far more tweakable than the gt7 in my opinion that is. Hey guys do you have any good stock/19turn setups you could share with us? Or are the ones from Kos website sufficient enough?

good choice in picking up the VFS-2000j. the "J" leaves a little bit of the battery left so you get some steering just in case your batteries dump, you can steer your car out of trouble.

pick up one of the programs from the Ko site.. those are great starting points that Ko drivers (Hara, Hirosaka, etc) use in their esc's. So you cant go wrong there.

what i did was, i grabbed the stock program and dropped it a few. so my initial throttle punch is increased. i usually have the first four stages at 8.. or even 6 depending on how much punch i want. and i always increase the top end also if there is a long straight away.

When I'm not sure which setup has been put into the VFS, is there a way to go back to the factorysettings?

I was thinking more along the lines of resetting it.
Like f.i. with the GM esc's just holding the button for a few sec's and it's back at the factory settings.

You see, I'm not sure my vfs programmer is working correctly...that's why I'm asking.

Does someone have a direct link to the setting page on KO USA website?
I can't find this page from the home page anymore...
Does KO Japan has them too?
Thanks.
