I think the "96s" are by McAllsiter—everything must have come off of the same decal sheet.

I just picked up a HPI Cuda and a Protoform J71 body today at my local shop.
Now I just gotta figure out what colors I want to paint them. I was thinking electric pink or lime green for the Cuda.

Yes, I admit the body is "far" from traditional... but I love to do this paint job....lol...

I know McAllaster on HPI, I get it, but I was running out of stickers and was looking for a long name of some sort for over the front quarter panels and that is all I had....

I think the numbers may be Mcallaster also, but they were just plain number sheets that I purchased quite a long time ago.... I can't remember....

.....I don't have Alls-heimer's ...... I have Sometimer's.....

"McAllister Racing" sounds like a family team to me. How much more privateer can you get. Not too keen on the non-period paint (though it looks cool) but I've got zero problem with identifying the family team on ANY body, HPI or otherwise.

Other than the fact that it isn't his team name, and it is another manufacturer of lexan bodies that he isn't using. There is another McAllsiter "Flying M" on the rear fender, too.

Teasing is all—nothing serious. Just looked a little odd to me this weekend, that's all. There were plenty of Trans Am faux pas at the Nationals this weekend, this was hardly anything.

yeah, I'm aware of where the sticker came from, I was floating a "justification" for it. The public at-large (and, I'd venture, 3/4 of the RC "public") would have no idea it wasn't just that.

so if you choose a McAllister driver and HPI body don't run the sticker to show which driver you are running?

Here is one I painted up for Great Hobbies here in Canada. The owners were going to add the decals themselves. The white is paint, not decal

It is painted Auto Air Mango, and White. I added the HPI wipers, and mirrors for scale.

Do you have any body off shots of this car? I spy what looks like a Cup Racer chassis under it, at least the motor mount and wheel nuts tell me it's a cup racer. I've wanted to try my Cup Racer for VTA, but I could never get the wheelbase long enough, track width I could make work though. The next challenge would have been FDR, but I never made it that far.

Its not a cup racer. I love cup racers but they dont have the right dimensions. Would love to see a GTU class made up of M wheelbased Chassis and 70's Z cars and stuff.
