NICELY DONE !!!
Are the hood and spoiler on the Cuda flat black or did you paint them from underneath like the rest of the body ?? In case you're wondering, you can get a flat (or matte) finish by painting the outside. Simply trim the protective clear coating away from the hood outline and then paint it. On the spoiler just remove the coating and paint from the outside.

Nice cars. Especially love the gran sport style paint on the vette. Wish a true 63 body was available but the 67 has the popularity right now.

I painted all the black on the inside. I wanted the black to shine. I painted a body with some outside paint before, and I didnt like the way it weathered racing conditions.
Thanks for the tip though.

Thanks man. I wish there was a '63 body too. I think Im going to paint another, and Im going to mask it off with a split window.
I wish some one would come out with a '68 or newer "mako" style body. That was the body style of the vettes the actually did race in the Trans Am series.

Kamtek makes a body that appears to be a 68 L88. You can find it on eBay shipped from the UK. Image attached.

Unfortunately the body still isn't vta legal but it is really cool.

Here is a quick one I did for a car I am selling soon. Bought a chassis at a good price, and it needed a body. Less then an hour and a half from in the bag to what you see.

Default Hertz rent a car

Go black and gold! I copied a Model Motoring H.O. car of mine. The paint job is from the rental Hertz Mustangs available in the 60's .
I did a Super II paint job on a 1/12th car before. Only the old guys would recognize it. I'm still working on the rims...painting them to match the original Mustang wheels.

Darkside's post below looks excellent...the wheels look great.

I love that Miller paint job on the J71 body! Great job!

I created a new online poll to see which VTA body is the most favorite amongst VTA racers. Please click on the link below and answer the poll.
