Paint looks great. After I put my window decals on, I like to cut the clear center out with an Xacto knife. It gets rid of the foggy window look, and it usually still holds up to the punishment of racing.

I cut mine out while they are still on the sheet. Makes 'em floppy when putting them on but using the soapy water trick straightens them out.

yeah. It also allows a little room to adjust if the mask is a tad off. I have done it that way too. I do know that HPI does not leave the centers in when they do shells for their own demo purposes. They cut the centers out, but they want them to look good as possible if the customer decides to leave the center in.

Hey I'll tell guys that have posted pics here in this thread those are some nice looking bodies had a question as I've looked around mainly in the online sites I hit tower etc,are these bodies getting hard to come by these days?
I've been to tower hobbies within the last few months and I have to say their stock sure must be falling pretty hard because I couldn't even find the right tire and wheel combo to have a spare set for my peace of crap RTR beginners combo.
I've seen a revival in the old school R/C racing cars and this thread sort of gives that impression, along with another thread I've found here the only argument that I have with this is brushed motors which are looking more and more as the years go by to be disappearing.
So as to not get off the subject that all I was wandering is if the bodies were abundant or hard to come by?

VTA bodies are easy to get with the possible exception being the Pegasus brand. Haven't tried to get one myself but they seem to be a bit harder to find. VTA is a great program...get involved...you won't regret it.

+1...

oh...if Im a betting man...I would say Pontiac Firebird/Trans-am....here is why...HPI already has the newer Firebird/TA...so Pontiac is already on the take....and how can you call it "TRANS-AM" without one...lol

I dont care what it is as long as its approved by Rob and the USVTA and its made by HPI...that way it going to be on tap....

btw...got some new bodies painted up..will post later...cya
