Indy RC

What did you do to prep the body? I used Model Masters and it flaked off! I heard there is an automotive etching compound that a few guys have been using before painting. Did you use it?

By the way the car looks good

If you choose to use the Testors Model Masters paint on lexan bodies, make sure to use the Lacquer paints and not the acrylic or enamel paints. Here is a link to their Auto Lacquer Paints (http://www.testors.com/category/1369..._Lacquer_Paint).

As far as body prep, I always clean out the inside of my lexan bodies with warm water and dish soap. In the case of the 'Cuda I scuffed up the inside of the body with the Scotch Pad side of a dish sponge. Make sure to not scuff up the clear areas like windows.

I always paint with rattle cans. I make sure to paint in light coats, especially the first coat of paint. Between coats I use a hair dryer to speed up drying.

I compiled all the HPI '68 Camaros I painted into 1 .pdf file to keep the file size small.

Would love to see a convertible Indy 500 Camaro pace car. I've been scouring the internet for a decent complete inner body, but not having any luck. Anyone have a link or part number?

Wouldn't it be cool to see a rolling start with an R/C pace car? It wouldn't have to be vintage pace car, but it could be modern HPI Mustang, Corvette, Camaro or Firebird. With the light control kit that Tamiya makes (http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=53937) you could make a fairly realistic pace car.
