The driver figure I used was the McAllister Driver w/ Interior

I cut all the interior off, except the steering wheel - so I have just the steering wheel, arms, upper body (the helmet is separate) - and the whole thing is fastened in the car on a piece of Delrin Rod (an old body mount would also work) - I ran it up through the neck area, and fastened the driver and the helmet to the rod w/ a single 4-40 button head screw through the top of the helmet.

Your close Joe. Mike Jennings was the Trans Am Starter and has some fun stories from the cage over the start finish line.

The new VTA body will debut tomorrow at the 2014 US Indoor Champs in Cleveland. The car will also run as a Grand American Stock Car (http://usvsc.webs.com):

Default McAllister Camaro VTA - Joe's Stickers

I posted pics of this Camaro when I got the grill and headlight decals - but I've added a rear tail light panel that I'm working on the sizing...it's still a little small, so a NEW one is coming the first part of the week. (It's less naked now though)

What exuipment are you guys making vinyl decals and maskings useing?
I used a Gerber edge plotter and cutter while painting air craft in the Air Force, but there is no way I can pay $30k to use on toy cars.

Also, what airbrushes are most using? I have the cheap harbor freight one and I am ready to upgrade.
Are you thinning the fastkolor paint, if yes, what are you thinning it with?
I noticed spatzstick paint is much thinner than fastkolor and it seems to spray much better.
I can not get the createx paint to spray without thinning, I assume the thinner of choice is compatible with both lines of paint?
Thanks

What paint do you use for chrome bumpers. I prefer to brush it on instead of spray it.

Been using Tamiya ps-48 silver metallic spray and it is transparent and wastes too much paint.

Parma FasKrome Satin p/n 40300 might work. 2oz bottle.

I use alclad or spastix. It is best to spray it. Only way it comes out looking like chrome. Brushing it on leaves brush strokes.

How well does this body handle compared to say PF Javelin or HPI Camaro 69 or in general...is it competitive?

The Firebird, which has an identical roof line and rear, handles great. I'm convinced it is the best handling shell out there. I expect very similar performance from the Camaro.

Not to mention, it is ONE PIECE. Man do I love that. Now that he's including window masks AND full decals, I will buy only these two in the future.

FWIW, I think the Javelin is the best handling non-McAllister body.
